CRUST SKIING?
The
vast majority of Wisconsin's NorthWoods and the Upper Peninsula
is publicly held as national, state and county forest, with
thousands of acres to explore. Whether you choose a meticulously
groomed trail, a skied-in trail or just want to go it on your
own in the backcountry, the NorthWoods offers that "Winter
Wonderland" experience.
In the last few years, snowshoeing has also become a very popular
winter activity in the NorthWoods. Snowshoes certainly provide an
easy way for the novice to enjoy our winter landscape.
